WE ARE CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR A SALES ASSOCIATE!

 

We are looking to grow our sales team at Huntsville Marine with the addition of the right candidate.

 

DUTIES:

 
  • Establishing customer needs recommending different types of boats to suit.
  • Explaining construction and performance of boats.
  • Organizing from initial lead/pricing to delivery, registration, and inspection of new boats.
  • Completing any and all paperwork pertaining to the sales of products.
  • Showing product in the showroom and at off-site displays or shows
  • Participation in boat shows and off-site promotions.
  • Having full knowledge of our product line, features, and accessories available for purchase
  • Demonstration and delivery of sold product to purchaser
  • Follow up after the sale with purchaser
 

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL: 

  • possess great customer follow up and prospecting skills.
  • Be a results-driven self-starter.
  • Be outgoing.
  • Have excellent interpersonal and written skills.
  • Have at least 5 years of experience in sales. (Preferably in major item sales such as marine, automotive or recreational sales)
  • Have a valid Class G Driver’s Licence and clean driving record.
  • Familiarity with fishing, boating, outboards, sterndrives considered an asset.
  • Thrive working in a team environment

GOALS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Including, but not limited to, the following:
 
  • Managing the sales process from start to finish
  • Arranging Survey / Sea Trial / Mechanical
  • Handle walk-in and phone inquiries.
  • Generate and follow-up on sales leads.
  • Input and management of customer information in our CMS to ensure outstanding client care.
  • Responsible for managing the entire sales process and working closely with team members.
  • Responsible for managing vessel listing and marketing with assistance from office administrator.
  • Compiling and becoming familiar with each vessel options and equipment.
  • Responsible for photography and video of listings, uploading to internet platforms.
  • Required to manage the client’s expectations on listing.
  • Responsible for showing boats.
  • Required to help clients through the purchasing process with assistance from general manager and office administrator.
  • Responsible for arranging haul-out, and mechanical inspections with marina management.
  • Responsible for sea trial and vessel system education with client. (TBD)
  • Responsible for managing closing, payouts and delivery of vessel with assistance from management.
  • Support and collaborate with marina operations by working with marina staff/management and assisting customers if/as required.  This includes best efforts on all transactions to retain brokerage customers with slip rentals at one of the Company’s marina locations.

WE ARE CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR A SERVICE ADVISOR!

 

The Service Advisor position requires an individual who can work in a fast-paced environment, must be able to multi-task and work alone with little to no supervision. You will work directly with the Service Manager & Parts Manager to achieve maximum productivity levels within the service department.

As Service Writer you must be able to listen to our customers and gather as much information possible to determine their needs. You will have to interpret their issues and be able to relay them to technicians in order to do proper diagnostics on the boat.

 

DUTIES:

 
  • Entering estimates, work orders, part sales and other data as necessary
  • Assuring that all charges related to a work order are recorded properly, charges include labour, parts and subcontract
  • Keeping current with work order status, promise date and being able to communicate with the tech, and customer on any changes
  • Updating customer and vendor profiles with information from Work orders
  • Assist in handling customer complaints and concerns
  • Assuring all work orders are closed in a timely manner
  • Allocating parts to work orders
  • Assisting with mechanical duties during winterizing and summerizing seasons
  • Experience with service department software and Microsoft applications are required
  • Regular office duties such as filing, answering the phone etc.
  • Be proactive in all aspects of your job
 

CUSTOMER SERVICE: 

  • Maintain a high degree of customer satisfaction at all times
  • Greet customers immediately in a friendly and courteous manner
  • Handle customer complaints reasonably, showing empathy and positive attitude

WE ARE CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR A SHOP HAND/JUNIOR TECHNICIAN!

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

The Primary Role of a Shop Hand/Junior Technician is to assist Senior Technicians in all aspects of their daily job as required.  The Ideal Candidate for this position would possess strong technical background, or be willing and eager to learn on the job.  This position is ideal for a potential candidate who is interested in pursuing a full-time career in the marine field.  For the right candidate a comprehensive marine training/education program and certification is available after 1 year of service.

 

DUTIES:

 
  • Light Mechanic duties (Oil Changes, Trailer Services)
  • Trailer inspections
  • Shop/Workspace organization and cleanliness
  • Safety inspections
  • Tractor operation, in both launching and moving boats in and out of service facility
  • Assisting Technicians in day to day work, and service jobs
  • Performing service inspection checklists on customer equipment
  • Pick up and delivery of parts from other locations, and parts department to technicians
  • Washing and Exterior Detailing of customer equipment
  • Help with Storage yard Loading/Unloading
  • Staging of Inventory, Service, Sales, and Customer Pick up Units
  • Other Duties as assigned

WE ARE CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR A MARINE TECHNICIAN!

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Marine experience on both gas and diesel engines, marine electronics, and all boat systems including water, electrical systems and related equipment.
5+ years of industry experience.

Superior customer service skills with strong attention to detail, good analytical and problem-solving skills. Individuals must be self-directed, and possess good time management, organizational and solid repair skills. Strong written, verbal and communication skills are an asset.
Ability to work independently and multi-task easily.

DUTIES:
Perform mechanical overhaul and repair work on gasoline marine engines, outboard motors, and related marine equipment and systems.
Troubleshoot and test marine engines and equipment to determine the need for repairs or adjustments.
Marine electronics installations.
Repairs and routine maintenance to marine water systems, head and holding tanks, bilge pumps, etc.
Winterizing and summer prepping of all marine systems and accessories.

WE ARE CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR BOAT DELIVERY DRIVER / YARD CREW MEMBER!


The Delivery Driver/Yard Crew Member will work closely with the Service Manager.  This position involves working outdoors in all climates and is a seasonal position. 

Applicants must be willing to work weekends and holidays in a fast paced environment.

Duties Include (but are not limited to)
  • Reporting to Service manager for daily functions
  • Boat pick up and delivery (on trailer/or by water)
  • Keep yard in good order
  • Assist with launching boats
  • Assist with lifting boats
  • Operation of equipment, such as using a fork lift for launching and lifting boats, hydraulic trailer, genie lift, truck and trailer
  • Complete morning equipment check lists on all equipment
  • Any other duties assigned by management
Qualifications
  • G Drivers Licence
  • Clean abstract
  • Completed high school or equivalent
  • Towing experience 
  • A positive professional attitude
  • Boating experience preferred 
  • A positive professional Attitude
  • Able To kneel, lift (50lbs min) & carry
  • General knowledge of equipment and operation of equipment
  • Strong work ethic
  • Ability to work in all climates (sun, rain, snow)
  • Team player
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Valid Boaters License.
